2016 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 🇩🇪

A longtime customer brought his Sprinter in for a PA State Inspection, Complete Oil Change Service, Tire Rotation & TVE. During the inspection, we found it needed front brakes, and we also performed a Brake Fluid Service.

The check engine light was also on, so we did some additional testing and inspection. We found a Mercedes warranty issue he didn’t know about and recommended taking it back to the dealer. Mercedes took care of the repair at no cost to him.

On his next visit, he came back for a Fuel Filter, Engine & Cabin Air Filters, and Coolant Exchange Service.

🇩🇪 Two E46 BMW convertibles. One day at Autofficina.

The Blue ’05 and the Silver ’04 both came in for PA State Inspections, Liqui Moly Complete Oil Change Services, and tire rotations. Both also had check-engine lights to diagnose. The light on the Blue ’05 was traced to oil leaks at the dipstick tube; the one on the Silver ’04 was traced to low battery voltage after sitting.

We also helped sell the Silver ’04 to its current owner a few years ago.

2014 Ford F-150

In for a PA State Inspection, Liqui Moly Complete Oil Change Service & TVE. We took care of the rear brakes on his last visit, and this time everything looked good, with tires on the radar before winter.

2013 Subaru Forester

This Forester came in for a wobble at highway speeds, oil leaks, and exhaust noise.

Our Total Vehicle Evaluation (TVE) found leaking valve cover gaskets, a failing battery, two inoperative tire pressure (TPMS) sensors, a rusty exhaust system, and several 60,000-mile services that were due. Since we already had things apart, it made sense and saved money to take care of several of those services at the same time.

We replaced the valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, TPMS sensors, engine and cabin air filters, installed a DieHard Gold battery, performed a coolant exchange, Liqui Moly Complete Oil Change Service, and replaced the exhaust system from the catalytic converters back.

We also rebalanced all four tires. With only 61,000 miles and a lot of sitting, the tires had developed flat spots, which explained the highway wobble. It isn’t a safety concern, so rather than sell tires, we recommended driving it and seeing if they improve first.

Most of what we replaced was age-related, and overall this Forester is in great shape with plenty of life left.

Another longtime customer we’re happy to continue taking care of at Autofficina.
