2013 Subaru Forester
This Forester came in for a wobble at highway speeds, oil leaks, and exhaust noise.
Our Total Vehicle Evaluation (TVE) found leaking valve cover gaskets, a failing battery, two inoperative tire pressure (TPMS) sensors, a rusty exhaust system, and several 60,000-mile services that were due. Since we already had things apart, it made sense and saved money to take care of several of those services at the same time.
We replaced the valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, TPMS sensors, engine and cabin air filters, installed a DieHard Gold battery, performed a coolant exchange, Liqui Moly Complete Oil Change Service, and replaced the exhaust system from the catalytic converters back.
We also rebalanced all four tires. With only 61,000 miles and a lot of sitting, the tires had developed flat spots, which explained the highway wobble. It isnโt a safety concern, so rather than sell tires, we recommended driving it and seeing if they improve first.
Most of what we replaced was age-related, and overall this Forester is in great shape with plenty of life left.
Another longtime customer weโre happy to continue taking care of at Autofficina.
