Jae has been with us for One Year! 🥳🎉 He was our first employee and has been so fantastic to work with. Jae has made so many lovely connections with clients. He has been incredibly kind, reliable and helpful to our small, growing business. We have been so lucky to have him on our team. Meet Laurel! She/Her

Why are you joining Acorn?

- I am joining Acorn after a long time of having the company service my home personally and being so happy with the result of the cleans and just the general friendliness of all the employees. Also because I love the fact that it is a small q***r owned business that caters to folks of different communities that are very important to me.

Do you have a background in cleaning?

- I have had several cleaning jobs in my past including 1 year as a detailer for an auto body shop and office cleaner, 2 years of carpet cleaning as well as a few months with another house cleaning company!

Why do you enjoy cleaning?

- I enjoy cleaning because I know how much it means to live in a clean space and it brings me so much joy to provide that for people that maybe aren’t up to doing it for themselves. It also brings me a lot of relaxation and I enjoy seeing the before and after of a good clean.

Why are you covid conscious?

- I am covid conscious because my partner is immune compromised and it’s extremely important to me to keep them safe as well as all customers I encounter. I feel as though no clean should come at the risk of your own personal health.

What type of relationships do you hope to build with customers?

- The relationship I hope to build with customers is one built on trust, integrity and an understanding of the fact we are all human and sometimes we need a little help when things get tough. I plan to be somebody that my customers can rely on to make their space as fresh and clean as possible.

What are your hobbies / interests?

- Some of my favorite hobbies include crocheting, going on walks with my dog, trying new forms of art, cycling when weather permits it and spending time with my cats! My cats bring me the most joy in life.

Anything you’d like to share about yourself?

- I am so grateful for the trust of my customers to allow me into their homes / most personal spaces to them. It takes a lot to trust somebody in your space, I don’t take that for granted and can’t wait to show you how clean your home can be!
