Q: Whats something an exceptional cleaner does that no one else thinks about?

A: Cover open sources of food, tea kettles, or clean dishes before beginning the clean because no client wants cleaning product or dust in their food and dishes.

This happens often and so few people think about it.

Today, we were doing a deep clean and I surveyed the kitchen for things that might need covering. This lazy Susan had a bottle of olive oil with an uncovered spout so I wrapped it with a paper towel to protect it.

It’s details like these that separate ordinary cleaners from extraordinary cleaners. Cleaners who take the time to think about the client’s experience as if we were the client; treating a home with the same care as if we lived there.

Pro tip: paint and cleaning

Getting ready to paint the inside of your home? Whether you clean your own or hire a cleaner, spend the extra for a paint that can be washed, particularly in kitchens and bathrooms.

Whether cleaning a greasy backsplash above a range or toothpaste splatter or urine off walls, the job becomes much more tricky if the paint is fragile and comes off with the things you are trying to remove, even simply using water.

Your paint job will last longer and stay looking new longer when it can be properly and safely cleaned on the regular.
