Congratulations Mary Yannie on winning "The Fred" for the last quarter. The Fred, kind of like The Oscar, went to Mary as the attendant who best embodied the qualities of Fred the Postman who does an ordinary job in a most extraordinary way. She serves customers well, always has a smile on her face, and keeps the store spotless. Here she is at our Orange Av location in Ft. Pierce.

Did you know that according to the Centers for Disease Control, drowning ranks fifth among the leading causes of unintentional injury death in the U.S.? Sunshine Laundries is once again partnering with St. Lucie County and the American Red Cross by providing swimming scholarships for lessons taken at any of the three St. Lucie County Aquatics Facilities. Treasure Coast Hospice was the fourth quarter recipient of Sunshine Laundries' Community Washer/Dryer Program. Sunshine owner Tom Rhodes (right) presented Mark Olson of TC Hospice with a check for $4804.00, bringing our total in donations to $135,000 since 2013!

Sunshine Laundries recently presented $3,190 to Big Brothers Big Sisters as part of our Community Washer & Dryer program for the third quarter of 2024. One more month to support Treasure Coast Hospice! Simply wash and dry your clothes (or bedding or towels or....) on the designated washer and dryer in each of the Sunshine Laundries St. Lucie and Okeechobee County locations, and 25% of all business done on those machines will be donated to Treasure Coast Hospice!

Due to Hurricane Milton, we will close Wed Oct 9th 1:00pm (last wash at noon) until Friday morning Oct 11th after the storm passes (assuming we have electricity). The newer washers are more sensitive to voltage fluctuations than older models, so we need to turn off the power so our equipment doesn't get fried from spikes and brownouts. Stay safe!

2024 is in full swing, and Sunshine is continuing to support local nonprofits with the help of our customers! Use the designated washer and dryer at all 8 of our locations, and 25% of the loads will be donated to VOICES FOR CHILDREN. This organization provides Guardian ad Litem services to over 1,000 abused, neglected and abandoned children throughout our area. HAPPY WASHING (& DRYING!)
