Looking like its going to be an active Mosquito and tick year this year. Please let me know if you need mosquito and tick control this year!

We are out with our first spring update - projecting the mosquito and tick season for 2026. Here are some highlights:

- Cattail mosquitoes, the species responsible for the mid-summer surge, will be active again in 2026.
- The Twin Cities may see another slow start to the mosquito season based on current precipitation for the year.
- Deer tick nymphs may have a higher prevalence of Lyme disease in 2026. Take precautions especially in May and June when they are most active.
- Black flies will likely emerge as normal based on current river levels.
