Our technician snapped a great shot of a drain field install today! 🌱
Here is a breakdown:
•Wastewater Collection: All water from your house's drains and toilets flows through a main drainage pipe into a buried, watertight septic tank.
•Separation in the Tank: Inside the septic tank, the wastewater naturally separates into three layers based on density:
-Scum: Lighter materials like fats, oils, and grease float to the top.
-Sludge: Heavier solid waste sinks to the bottom.
Effluent: The middle layer consists of partially treated -liquid wastewater.
Regular maintenance and periodic pumping of the septic tank to remove built-up sludge and scum, is essential for the system to operate effectively and prevent problems. 👍🏼✅
