Happy Veterans Day 🇺🇸 to all of those whom have served our county!

Thank you for sacrificing not only yourselves/lives personally, but for also sacrificing the time spent with your families and loved ones.

We here at Pfeiffer’s understand & appreciate the fact that when you step away from your family, you are doing so in order to protect ALL of ours; and for that, we are forever grateful!!

We hope you enjoy your day and again, thank you for your service!! 🫡 🤝🇺🇸

Sincerely,

The Pfeiffer Family

Obviously, the later it is in the year, the more time they have had to build thier colony, and the bigger the nests are going to be. That being said, this was a HUGE and active nest; likely containing 3-4 THOUSAND this time of the year!

By the end of the season, that one would’ve definitely reached 4 to 5000 which is usually their max.

This house happened to be located on James Street, close to my home, and I was able to stop by a few hours later and there was no one home 🐝 👌😎 the house is up for sale and it needed to be taken care of immediately. I was more than happy to help expedite the process.

Thank you as always for following and have yourself a great weekend!

Every year I like to make a video like this, to remind folks that even though you see a lot of wasps on your fences/pools/playset, it does not mean that there is a active nest there. All Wasps will use untreated wood as a means of housing, by chewing and regurgitating the wood to make a papier-mâché nests. It’s often hard to treat every square inch of wood on all of these areas, especially a children’s playset. And every nest that is anywhere close to that area of the house, Wasps will come from everywhere to get those supplies, just like a Home Depot lol

The best thing to do is to have stain/treat/seal the wooden structures, so that way the wood is not as attractive to make nesting material for the wasps. I hope this video helps a few folks out and that you all have a great rest of your day!

Thank you as always for following Pfeiffer’s Pest Control and for your continued support !!

Here is an in-ground Yellow Jackets Nest that I took care of for the Village of willow springs… I wanted to try & give you an idea of how many are active in a nest this, this time of the year (which is about approximately 2-3000 😳) It is a constant In-N-Out situation, like a airport runway on steroids.

That is why you will hear about somebody bumping into a nest like this, or mowing over the top of it, and getting attacked. They’re often hard to see, but often quick to make their presence known. 😑

Thank you as always for following Pfeiffer’s and have a great rest of your day! 😎

Mothers Day is always a really special day for us here at Pfeiffer’s - not only because of the fact that we have one of the best Moms out there by our side and running this family, but because our company would never have become what it is today without the “Mom’s of Planfield” group!!!!! 😎🥹 and all of the surrounding city Mom’s groups!

We want to take a chance today to say thank you for all you do for our families, I hope you enjoyed your day in this beautiful weather ☀️ 🌹 with your friends and loved ones, have a great rest of your day. You deserve it!

Easter 🐰’s we had to rescue, my dog found them in the yard, and now we are nursing them back to health 🤨

Once they can fend for themselves, we’ll relocate them, so they dont eat my garden! 🪏 🥕 🍅 but how in the HELL could you not feel for these lil ones?? 🥹

Thanks as always for your support & I hope all is well with you and your families!

Soooo, you’ll never guess where I had to catch this little menace 🦫… (he was actually very calm in demeanor & even hung out with the family and I, after we set him free in the Dupage river by the VFW….we named him Scratchy, cause he scrtched a lot 🤓)

Well anyways, the big reveal - Scratchy was in a client’s basement, right here in Plainfield; he had come up through the sump pump drain-pipe 🫠🤯 This is also something that these new developers keep in mind, while building the many subdivisions going up lately).

I immediately reached out to a traper friend of mine & he said “Yes! They will/can come through sump pumps into homes…”
Side note : (If you need a trapper/animal control “All Nuisance Trapping “ Pat Landry (630) 554-9262 beat in the business!)

This was from the corner of Caton Farm & Drauden (ish) - they will/can travel pipes from retention ponds & enter the home, not knowing how to get back out. 🤷

So this lil guy was knocking stuff over, CHEWING THE DOOR from the basement to the kitchen- that’s when I got the call to come inspect & please remove “whatever the F¥€ # is down there!?”. You could imagine their horror, & then my surprise, when I heard and noticed this guy runnin’ around - 💩ing absolutely EVERYWHERE & chewing absolutely EVERYTHING… 🤢 & 💸

After Sratchy evaded me for about 10 minutes, I decided to finally set a series of traps 🪤 I read they like 🥕’s and 🍎’s. Gottem with an 🍎 😏…

It took about an hour to trap him, and when I came back to relocate our lil friend, you could also imagine my clients relief to learn not only what it was, but what it did, how in the HELL it had gotten in, and that it’s now trapped/handled and safely GONE! 😎👍

Since I can’t post videos with pictures, I will be posting a Video or 2 of the whole experience on my page, so stay tuned 👀

As always, thank you for following Pfeiffer’s and have yourselves a great day!! ✌️
