PITTSFIELD, MASS. — Upon learning that a single wash at the Lipton Car Wash on South Street costs the same as a full month of unlimited washes, an area man has concluded that failing to wash his car daily would be, in his words, "fiscally irresponsible."

The man, whose 2015 Camry sources confirm is now among the cleanest vehicles in Berkshire County, described the math as "not complicated." "If I skip a day, that's a wash I paid for and didn't use. That's money on the ground," he said, already pulling back into line. "I didn't grow up with much. We didn't leave washes on the table in my house."

Witnesses report the man has begun scheduling errands around the tunnel, washed the car during a light rain "to stay current," and now refers to each visit as "collecting." He has reportedly described a spotless car as "not the goal, just the receipt," and told a coworker he was "finally winning."

Asked whether washing a clean car every day served any purpose, he said the question "sounded like something a person who pays full price would ask," confirmed he had already gone twice on Tuesday, and noted that the membership "doesn't wash itself." He intends to "run the numbers again tonight, for fun."

The math could not be reached for comment. It checks out, which is the troubling part.
