Cleaning post of the week: Stairwell to an Apartment building.

This stairwell was pretty dusty and full of some fur baby hair, from a Golden on the 2nd floor.

It took 10 dusters and vacuuming to get it somewhat cleaner. I only had time for dry dusting, nothing was wet wiped - which is what I would normally do to help shine things up a bit more.

It was 3 floors - so you get the idea with before and after pics.

Organizing post of the week: Garage

Time for a change to re-arrange! Sorting things and Moving Shelves around to make better use of the space. It's more convenient to have the tools closer to the door, rather than having to walk across the garage, especially with the car in the garage.
Simple changes can make thing a big difference!

I am seeing stars!!! I have never seen a stove top with stars - it was easier to clean b/c they were raised a little higher than normal ones.

If you have one of these types of range hoods - they do get dusty over time - can you see the dust?

Organizing post of the week: Paper product organizer!!

If you know me, you know I'm NOT a fan of using a lot of paper products, b/c they aren't great for the environment, sitting in a landfill for a long time before decomposing. However, sometimes when camping in the RV, we have limited access to water, but not too often. (We will burn the plates in the fire though.)
I found this paper product organizer on Amazon to help keep things neater and it gives easy access to what you need quickly.
If you like to host parties and you have paper products - I would highly consider this option for organizing them. Amazon offers a variety of styles and colors, for your needs!

Cleaning post of the week: Curtains -

Do you ever wash your curtains? If I am being honest - I don't very often. I need too. They get dusty and they can begin to fade if they're in the sun.

I would say- try twice a year during Spring Cleaning and Fall Cleaning time. Take them down, and read the tag on how to clean them, depending on your style of curtain.
Some may require air drying - so picking a nice sunny day is helpful!

If you're not curtain people - you probably have blinds or some type of shade. Those should also be dusted or cleaned off as well. Keep up with those more often with dusting!

Organizing post of the week: Building a File cabinet.

Most of us younger generations have gone paperless. However, the older generations still like their tangible paper bills, and they file them. The client picked this out, and I got it for her, as well as building it - which you'll see in a future post, it's replacing a broken one.

Isn't building something so rewarding??! It took me an hour - not that bad.

We found these drawer insert dividers as we were going through books for donation...so we had to use them of course! What a difference they make.

Cleaning post of the week: Move-In Clean...focusing on the shower doors. If you have glass shower doors - they really should be wiped down after the last person to shower for the day/evening. Buy yourself a squeegee or use the Norwex Bath Mitt. This will help reduce the amount of buildup on the doors, and keep them from turning "frosted," or "foggy."
Not just the doors, but the bottom where the doors slide open and closed. Those become filled with gunk too, as you can see.
