Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Update
3/15/2020
As details of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) unfold many of our clients are wondering what we are doing to keep you, your family, pets and home safe.
Like you, we are diligently monitoring the Center for Disease Control (CDC) Newsroom for updates and any changes that might affect the way we serve you and your family.
Currently no one on our team has the virus and we trust that your family is free from it as well. We will continue to provide you the same excellent service you are used to from us.
We will also use hand sanitizer before entry and after exiting each customer home, wear and change gloves throughout cleaning and not share cleaning rags, sponges, or brushes from one home to another ..(to maintain the integrity of that home without cross contamination.) if asked, we will wear masks while cleaning especially with elderly and young children or infants within the home.
The CDC suggests that person-to-person spread is possible when one person who is contagious is in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet.) And the disease is spread through respiratory droplets that are produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes.
For your protection while in your home, we will keep our 6-foot distance from you and your pets. We also will be adding one more cleaning step to what we normally do when servicing you... and this is to disinfect before we add the final shining to all surfaces, faucets and handles etc.
Our vacation rentals have mostly all been cancelled which we actually prefer not cleaning at this time. We will not be taking any new customers or referrals at this time either.
We work with a very small amount of clients around Pittsburgh and feel this lowers the risks immensely... as does the fact we generally do not have one time cleanings or generally take move outs/ins if they arent a regular client. Our aim has been keeping clients mostly recurring when adding on new clientele.
Like you, we too are concerned and will keep you informed if our health status changes in any way. We will not be cleaning even if we have a small cold or virus.. and apologize for any inconviences this may cause you, but your safety is our biggest priority. If you have already scheduled within the next two weeks or have a regular day we service you, we ask that the moment anyone has any symptom, small or large, and even if it is regular cold and flu symptoms, to tell us immediately. There are no cancellation fees whatsoever, and you will not lose your spot on the calendar for consecutive cancels, if it is due to keeping us safe and other clients ... we would prefer it!
Thank you for trusting us with your care. (Laura will have to refrain from hugging for a bit!)
