Last week we were contacted by a customer needing a clean up at their residence. After providing the estimate, the customer stated they were waiting on another quote from someone else.
Ultimately, they decided to go with the other “business” because they were cheaper. ( Which I completely understood, as I know our prices can be higher, and for good reason)
Well, this week, the same customer contacted us again. Turns out, cheaper ended up not being cheaper. The other “business” started the job, collected money halfway through, took items they weren’t suppose to take, and never returned. Let’s just say the customer wasn’t too thrilled about this situation he was in.
However, after his call back, we showed up, we finished at our level of quality, and decided to help him repair the mail box the other “business” hit.
I’m not making this post to gloat or talk bad about any others trying to start a business in this field, in fact I welcome it and think it’s great. I just ask that you consider many factors on who you use, before going the cheaper route, or as the customer stated:
“tell everyone to think twice before choosing the cheaper *insert bad word here*. ” and some other things not appropriate for yall to read. 😂
At the end of it all, we have a reputation to uphold, documentation to keep us liable and you protected, and most importantly a community we truly care about. That’s why when we left, it was with a job completely finished and a happy customer. That is all, Yall take care now!
