Pulled out an old galvanized steel water line in Berlin, WI. This is one of the worst we’ve seen in a long time. Our new Acme Pipe Winch is the real deal for pulling these lines, a whole lot safer then how we use to do it.

Lead water services being pulled in Oshkosh, WI. This service was mainly copper with the last 12ft being lead under the porch into the house.

Went to jet out the sewer pipe from house to tank. But first we need it pumped out. Tank was full of solids.
Homeowner didn’t know as her husband use to take care of this. Since his passing she was unaware. We helped her get setup with a pumper to keep up on it.

That there is Orangeberg sewer pipe. Paper Miche , tar paper are a few nicknames we have for it.
It truly is the absolute worst type of sewer pipe you could have, but it’s what was available at the time.

Orangeburg sewer pipe became popular during World War II because cast iron and steel were being used for the war effort. It continued to be installed in many homes from the late 1940s through the 1960s because it was affordable and easy to install.

Unlike cast iron or modern PVC, Orangeburg pipe was made from layers of wood pulp saturated with coal tar—not metal. While it was an innovative product for its time, most Orangeburg pipe has now reached or exceeded its expected lifespan. It can soften, deform, collapse, and lead to recurring sewer backups and expensive repairs.

🏡 If your home was built between the 1940s and early 1970s, it may be worth having your sewer line inspected before a small issue becomes a major problem.
