Why do full ceramic coatings cost so much? Let’s talk about it.

The wet glossy look in your paint does not come from the ceramic coating, although a ceramic coating does enhance the gloss it does not get rid of the imperfections within the paint its self.

Polishing an entire vehicle can take hours upon hours along with the prep just to be able to polish, this is the most expensive part of a detail, it takes a lot of knowledge along with a lot of labor. But this is the most important step in making your paint have that shine and gloss.

The other most expensive part of a detail is the actual ceramic coating its self. Chemical costs over the last two years has blown through the roof especially for good products. I use adams graphene ceramic coating and it runs close to $100 for a 3 ML bottle, out of this I usually can do a vehicle with 3/4s of a bottle. Along with this the tire shine I use runs about a $100 a gallon so just like anything else the cost of doing a detail has went up a bit over the last year or so.

Whenever you get a quote on your vehicle and it’s in the ranges of $350 to $500 remember that this is not your standard car wash and vacuum, this is a thorough cleaning that people tend to get once a year or every two years aside from maintenance details. Which if they are monthly can range from $100-$150 a month.

Full seat cleaning and carpet cleaning inside and out job done this past week. Folks I am still playing catch up from December, a combination of weather and my full time job along with my military drill schedule have been fighting against the detailing schedule for several months. I typically don’t have a free weekend so bare with me.I’m sorry for the long wait times however I am working my way around my list!
