We are currently addressing a persistent issue affecting multiple vehicles in the Soo area. Several vehicles have come in with severe etching on their exterior surfaces, with owners reporting no prior instances of this issue until the commencement of the Locks project. We suspect that the source of this problem may be the Locks project itself or the nearby mills across the border, which emit particles into the air. Our research has found that buffing the entire exterior is the only effective method of mitigation, as iron removers and clay bars have proven ineffective. We strongly advise residents in the area to keep their vehicles garaged or covered whenever possible. The severity of this issue requires a comprehensive treatment, including a decontamination wash, clay bar treatment, 2-step paint correction (sometimes 3), sealant, and application of our most durable coating, for future protection.
