Maintenance of your hot tub during a drought is exceptionally important! There are simple measures you can take to ensure your hot tub conserves as much water as possible during a drought.

1.) Keep the Filters Clean
Clean filters means the water will remain clean. The cleaner the water is, the less the need will be to drain and refill. Simply rinsing the filter with a water hose once to twice a week will reduce the need of draining your hot tub.

2.) Test and Balance pH More Frequently
Keeping the water healthy will also mean less draining. Tubs should usually be drained about every 4 months to ensure sanitation. If the pH levels remain healthy within that time-frame, we suggest waiting a bit longer to drain your hot tub. It's time to drain your tub when the water gets cloudy, or when the pH levels become difficult to balance.

3.) Lower the Temperature of Your Hot Tub When Not In Use
Lowering the temperature of your hot tub will prevent the water from evaporating and therefore, reduce the need to top off the hot tub every time it is in use!
