A narrative from my blog

SWOLLEN FINGERS
The walls were strong and smooth with writing and engraved graffiti. My perfectionist nature kicked in and took over. "Quick, get the magic erasers. I want ever single mark off these walls, now" screams my inner voice.

Feeling ever so inclined to provide an excellent service, I scrub and vigorously scrape until my gloves tear, my warm water is cold and dirty, but the marks begin to fade deep into the light gray matte paint.

Why do I go to these lengths? ...why for the Tenants... for the Tenants always.

As the walls were drying I felt a sense of satisfaction loom over me while looking at the outstretched corridor waiting to be tackled... "It's working, the walls are finally clearing up, they will be so happy". Only to find upon completion..."The white marks the magic erasers have left behind?!?"

Oh s**t!!!!
