Our mode of operation during any dryer vent cleaning project is to figure out where the roadblock is in the Dryer Vent system. Because we do an airflow test after every clean out, if the airflow still does not satisfy, we must get out the Video inspection equipment and start visually inspecting the entire run of the system to find the problem. In this case, we we able to identify the dryer itself Wes not flowing properly. You can see in the pictures that the impeller of the dryer was so plugged up with “cooked on” lint that the dryer still could not breathe properly after a thorough Dryer Vent duct clean out. This required special brushes to reach down into the bottom of the machine to clean off each and every blade of the impeller to restore airflow for safe and efficient operation.

Another very important area included in our dryer vent cleaning service is the lint screen and lint carriage area. You can see in these pictures, the lint screen has become very clogged up with "cooked on " lint. This happens when the dryer vent is clogged at some point in the system. Therefore the heat cannot escape and begins to destroy the appliance. This is why we "only" clean dryer vents from the beginning of the airflow source to the absolute end. After all, it makes no sense to address only parts of the system, leaving blockages to persist within the source of airflow (the dryer). We clean out the area beyond the lint screen as there can be a build up of lint and debris that will hinder airflow, no matter how well the duct has been cleaned out, if the appliance itself can't breathe then you still have a fire hazard.

This is why it is so very important to ask the right questions when shopping for a dryer vent cleaning company. Most budget priced services do not include the portion of the vent system on the roof. This roof section is vital to a complete and thorough dryer vent system clean out. These pictures show that not only was there a screen 100% plugged up with lint impeding airflow, but also upon further inspection, we found a round section of roof sheathing that had been left partially attached inside the roof vent, impeding safe airflow in the system since the house was constructed. Because we take your safety seriously, we have invested in cameras that can look inside of the "gooseneck" vent during the clean out and troubleshoot persistent airflow issues. This matter could have been easily overlooked by other companies, frustrating the homeowner and causing further damage to the appliance as well as a possible fire hazard.

Underground or “through the slab” Dryer Vent systems usually consist of PVC pipe, which becomes electrostatically charged when the dryer pushes air through it. As a result, the lint becomes cooked onto the walls of the pipe and therefore your typical nylon brush system will not suffice. We have specialty equipment to completely remove all of the lint, sand, moisture, debris, buildup from the inner walls of the PVC pipe system, ensuring a complete and thorough clean out.
