The best time to clean chimneys in your home is in the warmer months, between spring and late summer—essentially, before you need to think about lighting any fireplaces for warmth when the weather turns cold.

Scheduling is a lot easier this time of year AND there are discounts to be had!! Cleaning/inspection starts at $120 in July and August! That’s a minimum of $30 less than what you’ll pay any other time of year 🙂

I was lucky enough to speak to our Weekly Summer Camp kids last week and the topic was…you guessed it…Sports Cards Collecting!

I was able to give away vintage rack packs to all kiddos, a healthy dose of junk era wax and a hot pack for each of them full of autos, slabs and color.

Needless to say, it was a great time for everyone, including myself.

Hope everyone else had as much fun as I did 🙂

It is recommend that all fireplaces be swept at 1/8” of sooty buildup, and sooner if there is any glaze (creosote) present in the system. This is considered by fire safety experts to be enough buildup to cause a chimney fire capable of damaging the chimney or spreading to the home
