Has it been a while since you’ve cleaned your ceiling fan? If you don’t manage it on a biweekly to monthly basis you will receive lots of dust build up.
If it gets thick with dust build up it will place dust on your ceiling and walls while operating. Keep it dust free on a biweekly to monthly basis. If you have allergies or prone to sinus infections, the dust your ceiling fan collects can activate these illnesses.
Slip an old pillowcase over each blade, press gently, and pull it toward you to remove thick build up.
The dust lands in the pillowcase, not on your furniture or your lungs.
If it leaves dust streaks because it was too thick with dust, you’ll need to wash off the blades with soap and water if not maintained on a regular basis.
You can save time by removing the dust on a regular schedule to prevent having to climb up and wash the blades.
