Good morning friends. Inspired by the extreme cold the last few days, please remember the “Washers Open Dryers Closed” rule when you are finished with your machines.

Keeping dryer doors closed after use helps maintain the integrity of the dryer air supply which comes from outside of the building. This in turn helps the furnace keep the interior of the laundromat (and you!) toasty.

Leaving washing machine doors open on the other hand allows air into the washer ensuring it can properly dry out between uses, and allows new customers to easily see which machines are available for use.

As always, if you notice anything unusual or have any questions about our machines do not hesitate to get in touch. ♥️🤝🥶

And just like that- Christmas is less than a week away, Hanukkah is almost over, and 2026(?) is around the corner. Did we imagine Thanksgiving or did that actually happen?

We wish everyone a happy and safe next couple of weeks as gatherings are hosted, kids finish college and school for a while, our jobs get crazy with end of year efforts, gifts and meals are bought and prepared, and holidays are celebrated. All while trying to keep the driveway shoveled and the house warm.

It can be a stressful time for many as we try to do so much. Remember it’s ok to not get to everything. Perfection isn’t always important.

Take a moment to breathe, be thankful for all you have already done, and find joy in what’s already around you. Those little gaps between the big ticket things are where the magic still lies.

A quick shout-out to whomever alerted us to the unusual shaking coming from that big machine on the left, 50 pound washer number 18.

Your out of order tag kept it from being run any further in its vulnerable condition, and we were able to replace a large broken bolt that caused the issue and return it to full service quickly, before any more damage occurred.

As the leaves begin to change and the sun continues to sit a little lower each day, we think it’s a good moment to stop and reflect. 🍁🍂

It was a great summer, and we are thankful for all of you who chose to do your laundry with us.

It has been rewarding to share many conversations with people from all over who have found Park Falls a welcoming place, and we have appreciated the many encouraging comments about Valley Laundry and your experiences here.

We also owe a debt of gratitude to the folks who have called to help when a drain clogs or a machine misbehaves. That accountability and concern for one another is what small town community is all about.

We hope you enjoy the coming changes in season and all the northwoods has to offer. Thank you for your support of our small business, and happy first day of fall!
