Something many people may not know is how hard I struggled to be apart of as a child. I had very few friends in school and often felt like I just didn’t for in, this was only made worst when a lot of changes started to occur around age 9.

This woman came into my life though, Leah she was my 5th grade art teacher and her classsroom provided a safe space for me. I remember going up there during lunch time to work on extra projects she had going on.

Fast forward 25 years, I’m standing near the entrance of a networking event feeling very outside my comfort zone and who do I see? Lean comes walking in! Yet again she provided a safe place at a moment I was feeling very uncomfortable and not good enough.

It’s amazing how the universe aligns!
