Let’s talk about humidity & what it does to your house.

Not only is my thermostat policy to keep me from stroking out in your living room, it’s also to make cleaning easier. So many things inside your home are affected by heat & humidity. Mirrors. Glass. Dark, shiny floors. Don’t even think about trying to clean your stainless appliances. If you have a housecleaner or the day you plan on cleaning, keep your AC turned down. It does help! (Just leave your stainless til fall tho 🤣)

Also, your housecleaner will love you for leaving your AC turned down. 🥵

Grout requires its own special day, especially floor grout. And PLEASE only use Zep Tile & Grout as directed and ALWAYS test an area first.

Here’s a bit of a breakdown on pricing I saw on another page.

✨ You’re not just paying for time
You’re paying for experience, efficiency, and knowing what works (and what doesn’t).

✨ Level of cleaning matters
Maintenance clean ≠ deep clean ≠ move-out clean
These are completely different jobs.

✨ Condition of the home
Two homes the same size can be priced VERY differently based on buildup, pets, and upkeep. (What types of showers you have is considered too).

✨ What’s included (and what’s not)
Some cleaners include baseboards, inside appliances, etc.
Others charge those as add-ons.

✨ Supplies + tools
Professional products, equipment, laundry, restocking it all adds up.

✨ Time vs flat rate pricing
Some charge hourly
Some (like me) price per job so clients know exactly what to expect

✨ Business costs people don’t think about
Gas, taxes, insurance, wear and tear on tools, unpaid admin time…

If you’re thinking of hiring a house cleaner, please seek a professional. Ask for references. Ask about their supplies. Things in your home can be ruined with the wrong cleaning products. “A cheap housekeeper ain’t good & a good housekeeper ain’t cheap!” 😆
