Did you know Kings Lift almost didn’t exist?
3 years ago, I had no plan, no business experience, and zero clue about carpet cleaning. I was working a normal job and content with where I was, but every time I hit my knees in prayer, the same vision kept coming back: me, cleaning carpets.
I asked God "why" more than a few times. I knew if it was just up to me, I was way over my head. But I decided to put my full trust in Him.
A month later, I found a van on Facebook Marketplace in Titusville—over 6 hours away. The seller warned me before I even left: "The price is firm. Don't waste your time coming down to haggle."
I prayed, and God told me to go anyway.
About 100 miles away from Titusville, I pulled into a gas station. When I tried to restart my truck... nothing. Wouldn't even turn over. Panic set in fast, but in prayer, I felt a clear answer: This is a test. Do you really want this? If you do, trust me.
So I literally left my truck sitting at that gas station, took an Uber to a rental place, got a car, and kept driving.
When I finally met the seller, they reminded me again that they weren't budging on price. After a smooth test drive, they asked me if I knew anything about carpet cleaning.
I told them the absolute truth: "No. I have no clue."
They laughed, but the whole mood shifted from tense to curious. They asked why on earth I was buying a van, so I overshared and laid out my whole story. By the end of it, the seller had tears in their eyes.
Then they asked, "Are you going to make an offer?"
I asked for $6,000 below asking price.
Without hesitating, they said absolutely.
I had every reason to turn around and give up that day. But because I chose faith over fear, Kings Lift exists today. And now, we get to stand here as Best of Bay.
