When you clean vacation rentals the majority of your clients aren’t going to live in your immediate area. That means they are putting supreme trust in you. They aren’t able to keep eyes on their rentals, so they depend on you to keep their properties in great shape. That’s a lot of responsibility, but it’s also very rewarding to know someone trusts you with such a huge investment!
However, some cleaners see this as an opportunity to get by with doing the bare minimum. They know the owners can’t go behind them after each turn and make sure it was done right. Maybe you can get by with not cleaning something once, twice, three times, but eventually it’s in your face obvious that it wasn’t cleaned and hasn’t been in a while.
To the cleaners- eventually it will blow up in your face! Take the extra time to do it right because guests WILL start to complain, one day the owner WILL show up.. and you WILL lose your units! Not to mention the pride you’ll feel in a job well done.
