We are loving the coziness of the Bunkbed Room in our new Salmon Suite! It also has a master bedroom with a king size bed and a fun kitchenette/dining room plus, of course, a slide that goes down to a private hot tub deck (there are stairs too)!

The Salmon Suite opens in July and will be open year round. It is on the same property as our Treehouse Cabin.

As winter comes to an end (finally), we are busy finishing up the Salmon Suite! The Salmon Suite will open in July. It is not a treehouse but has a treehouse feel to it and it faces the treehouse. The 2 guest cabins share a firepit but the Salmon Suite will have its' own hot tub deck. It has 2 bedrooms and sleeps 6 and will be open year round!

We have just a few pictures but it is really shaping up to be a fun, cozy place to stay and comes with all of the amenities we give our Treehouse guests. Lots of Alaskan made snacks and bath products. Reservations can be made now!

It is very snowy morning here today! It has been a long, cold, dark, windy winter. We are longing for the long days of Summer!

Some of you have asked how The Salmon Suite is coming along. We have it listed on the travel sites. It will open on July 1st. It will be so perfect for families traveling together to book both the Treehouse and Salmon Suite. And, the perfect place for bigger families and those that love to spend time in the hot tub.

The Salmon Suite sleeps 6 and is amazing. There are 2 bedrooms. One with a king size bed and the other with queen size bunk beds. It also has a slide down to the private hot tub deck. We are finishing up the interior now which means I am back in the staining room, trying to keep up. My stack keeps growing!

And, a big thank you to those of you that asked about the ducks. They are ready to be back in the yard but are making do in their inside coop.

We are looking forward to another busy season of travelers!

We have opened reservations for our Salmon Suite beginning July 1, 2026.

The Salmon Suite is our only non-treehouse guest suite. However, it has all of the feels of a treehouse. It is up high and in the trees, over our gift shop. It has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and will sleep up to 6 guests.

It has a fun living/dining room with rocking and swinging chairs and a slide that goes down to a hot tub deck. The hot tub is just for guests of the Salmon Suite.

It is great option for families that are traveling together. The Treehouse and Salmon Suite are on the same property.

Interior pictures will be posted as soon as we finish up the details. Stay tuned!

What a wild weekend it has been! I want to apologize profusely to the guests that we had to cancel. We had a massive wind storm that is just starting to die down. With 70-90 mph gusts and power going on and off, the Treehouse is not where you want to be.

I am happy to report we did not sustain any damage to the Treehouse or the new windows that we just installed in the Salmon Suite! However, branches and downed trees are everywhere and it is possible a chair or two went into the pond.

We bought a Generac generator last Summer so power outages would be a breeze but unfortunately, John was unable to complete the set up after his fall off of the Treehouse platform and the person we contacted to help us stopped responding to our request for help. So, needless to say, it never got hooked up completely. After riding out this storm, it is at the top of our list.

I hope all of our fellow Matsu Valley residents have an easy cleanup and are all safe and warm!

Oh, boy! After what seems like forever, our new building is "waking up and opening it's eyes". The interior will house our almost finished gift shop, our complimentary guest laundry room on the lower level and upstairs will be the Salmon Suite which sleeps 6 and has it's own hot tub deck along with a lot of other fun features. We will post pictures of the interior as it gets finished.

It will open this Summer!

The snow is finally here! The Treehouse is open until Christmas Eve. We will be closed from Christmas until mid February for our annual maintenance/deep cleaning time in preparation for the upcoming season.

Nothing is cozier than time by the fire watching the snow fall followed by a cozy sleep in the treehouse. Treehouse nights are great for date nights, birthday nights, girls' nights, family getaways, etc. We would love to have you stay with us!

Fall is most definitely here and our last Summer guests have checked out. It was an amazing Season! Thank you to all of you that visited us!

We will be open until Christmas and then will close for 6 weeks for deep cleaning and maintenance. Winter weekends at the Treehouse are so cozy!

We will be opening the Salmon Suite this Spring. It is our only non-treehouse guest suite. It is up high and oh, so cool. It sleeps 6 and has a private hot tub deck! As soon as the interior is finished and I can get pictures, the listing will go live. However, we can manually take reservations for Summer, 2026, if you want to book it now!
