After a customer’s wife accidentally dropped her wedding ring down a toilet at a dental office, Mason arrived to find that the ring had traveled about 25 feet down the drain. The ring, purchased in 1991, carried 33 years of memories and priceless sentimental value.

For more than four hours, Mason tried every method he could think of to retrieve it, including a cable, magnet and sewer camera. Finally, in one last attempt from the exterior cleanout just before the line entered the city main, he used a shop vacuum and successfully recovered the ring.

This was more than recovering a ring. It was about refusing to give up on something that meant everything to a customer.
