**Severe Grease Buildup in Sewer Line — Here's What We Did**

A residence had a serious grease slug blocking the sewer line, and Roto-Rooter came in with the heavy-duty solution. We performed up to four hours of hydro jetting to blast through the heavy grease buildup, and followed up by cabling the main sewer line to fully clear the blockage. Using both hydro jetting and a mainline cable machine together ensured the line was thoroughly cleaned and flowing properly.

A homeowner called Roto-Rooter after their tankless water heater stopped working, leaving the house without hot water. They also wanted a water softener to deal with hard water.

Our team removed and disposed of the old unit, installed a new water heater, and tested it to make sure it was heating properly. We then installed a new water softener to help cut down on hard-water mineral buildup in the home’s plumbing.

Roto-Rooter provided residential plumbing service to replace the home's existing water supply lines with new PEX piping. Our team removed and hauled away the old water lines located beneath the home and installed properly sized, securely supported piping to meet applicable code requirements.

The re-piping service included new quarter-turn ball valve shutoffs and stainless steel supply lines for the toilets, bathroom sinks, and kitchen sinks. Our technicians also connected the new piping to the existing tub and shower valves and washing machine lines within the crawl space. Additional work included installing a new shutoff valve and flexible connections at the water heater, a whole-house emergency shutoff valve for convenient access during future maintenance, and up to two new hose bibs securely attached to the home. The new piping was connected to the home's existing main water supply using appropriate fittings.

The standard PEX installation includes a one-year warranty on parts and labor.

Roto-Rooter provided residential sewer line replacement service, excavating and replacing up to 80 feet of the existing sewer line with durable Schedule 40 PVC piping. Our team installed multidirectional cleanouts approximately every 80 feet to provide access for future inspections and maintenance. Anti-shear guards were used where needed to connect the new piping securely to the existing sewer line. Once the installation was complete, the excavated area was backfilled to rough grade, helping restore the area following the sewer line repair.
