House Cleaner vs. Housemaid
Many people use these terms interchangeably, but they are different.
A residential house cleaner specializes in cleaning your home.
A housemaid or housekeeper often manages the daily operation of the household, which may include laundry, meal preparation, grocery shopping, childcare, pet care, errands, ironing, and other household responsibilities.
At MCS Cleaning Services, we are residential cleaning professionals. However, we are happy to help with simple extras such as making beds, washing a reasonable number of dishes, switching a load of laundry, or light tidying when requested before your appointment. These services must be scheduled in advance so we can allow enough time and provide the quality service every client deserves.
Preparing for Your Cleaning
Please don’t clean before we arrive—that’s our job!
We simply ask that your home be tidied before your appointment. This allows us to spend our time cleaning instead of picking up belongings.
Before we arrive, please:
* Pick up clothing, shoes, and personal belongings.
* Place dirty laundry in hampers or designated areas.
* Put away valuable or fragile items.
* Clear excessive clutter from floors and countertops when possible.
This isn’t about having a “perfect” home. We understand that life gets busy! A little tidying simply helps us clean more thoroughly and efficiently.
Communication is Important
If there is something you’d like us to do that isn’t part of your regular cleaning, please let us know before your appointment. We are happy to customize your cleaning whenever possible and will let you know if additional time or charges are required.
