August 1st is our 25th anniversary!! I am so proud of the company we’ve built. When I started the business, it was just me. I opened an office at the Oxford Insurance building on the second floor. Tim Tatum was good enough to provide my first office, and Pat. I had an office phone number, and had it on call forward so I could answer while out working. That first company truck I bought from Belk Ford was a plain work truck. Between the rollover phone, that little office and many prayers God blessed us. After doing it all for a couple of years, I persuaded Donna to quit her job teaching at First Baptist and join me. It was harder convincing Brother Robert Allen than her. Together we built a dream. One customer at a time. I am a man of faith, and asked the Lord to bless our efforts. He has. Many times over. One man can’t build a business. It took a lot of friends and a lot of love to succeed. I don’t want to start naming them, because I would surely leave some out.
Suffice it to say, God has been so good to me and my family. We now employ over 30 and service from Jackson to the Tennessee line. We have plans to extend to the coast before long, and none of this would be possible without the belief and trust of you, our customers!!
I’ve been thinking about our anniversary, and for the 25th we need to do something special. I have come to the conclusion that a nice thing to do would be give away 2,500.00. But how to do it fair was my main concern.
