A little PSA on the topic of scratch improvements. The paint on todays modern vehicles, base coat/clear coat, seems to get thinner and thinner every year, so the tried and true way to fix scratches, isn’t as safe as it used to be. So now, industry standards call for sanding to improve and not remove.

I have the necessary tools to keep that process safe from doing anymore damage to the surface. I can measure the thickness of your paint to know how much I can “improve”. All part of the dedication to providing you top tier services.

This is a prime example of the damage that bird crap can do when left on your paint for too long. It is typically highly acidic and can etch its way into your clear coat. This can or cannot be an easy fix. A protective coating, while won’t prevent it 100%, it can be a sacrificial layer that the poo eats away before it gets to your clear.

Also, you’ll see what looks like spider webs, those are swirls caused by improper wash methods. I can help with that as well.

Took this workhorse from dirty and dull, to all decked out. This one received a multi step polish to cut out the nasty swirls and fine scratches, some deeper scratch improvements with as little wet sanding, and finally refined to a deep glossy shine. But that flake in the paint was worth it. Protected with my multi year coating, it’s ready for whatever the owner throws at it while on the job site.
