Natural and cellulosic fibers can develop browning when previous cleanings leave behind excess moisture, improper chemistry, or residues that wick back to the surface as the fabric dries. STOP APPLYING ACRYLIC POLISH TO YOUR WOOD FLOORS!! 🚫

These photos show some of the most common problems we see from acrylic wax coatings on hardwood floors:

❌ Scuff marks and scratching
❌ Uneven coats and lap lines
❌ Dull traffic areas
❌ Missed or thin spots near entryways
❌ Yellowing and hazy appearance over time
❌ Dirt getting trapped in the buildup

The bad news? These products often make floors look worse over time and can't be cleaned off!

The good news? A professional deep cleaning can dramatically improve the appearance without the expense of sanding or refinishing, as long as NO POLISH has ever been applied. If so, resanding might be your only option. Acrylic wax stripping products do exist but it's very risky, can damage the floors finish and cause cupping of the wood. Prevention is the best medicine, just don't do it. Clean with a neutral hard wood floor cleaner and when deep cleaning is needed call us! We will greatly extend the life of that existing polyurethane finish.
