Why be your own advocate of your own story?
I know it's scary to take off the mask. I know it feels vulnerable to share your wounds with the world. You may be afraid of judgment.
- What will people think of you?
- How will people judge you?
- Will it even help someone if you do?
- Who will care?
I know that some of the most pivotal moments of our lives were the moments when we were on our knees. Broken. Helpless. Destroyed.
It can feel shameful and scary. But it's only shameful until you start to accept yourself and love and appreciate every adversity you have faced and overcome. Until you fully accept and love yourself.
Today, I want to tell you to become shameless about your past and become empowered in your story.
No one can ever throw stones at you once you accepted yourself and become your own advocate for overcoming pain and adversity. No one can throw stones at someone who has accepted and started to love themselves unconditionally.
This is when true empowerment happens when you are no longer afraid, no longer ashamed, and no longer judging yourself for your past...
Own your past, and let that become the purpose of why you do what you do today because you don't want anyone else going through what you had to go through...
