Ultrasonic Cleaning For a Solvent-Free World

Midwest Ultrasonic was founded by Kermit Engh and Audra Gude as an extension to their restoration company. The technology that they have become experts in; to restore items from fire, water and mold losses can also benefit our Omaha community in their day-to-day lives. Ultrasonic technology can be used to clean numerous everyday household items includi

ng fabric, plastic, faux wood, blinds and shades. Ultrasonic machines use the powerful process of cavitation along with detergents to clean and sanitize items deep down inside the smallest crevices. Cavitation occurs when ultrasonic sound waves are introduced into a solution. Cavitation bubbles form rapidly and expand until they implode on themselves creating a jet-stream and heat. A human hair averages approximately 150 microns. The microscopic bubbles allow dirt, bacteria and pathogens to be eradicated from items deep down in the smallest crevices. Did you know jewelry can be cleaned in an ultrasonic machine? Before you get too excited though, check with your jeweler before handing them your precious stones or cleaning them yourself at home. Some gems are not meant to be cleaned ultrasonically, as damage can occur.

This is Brynn. She FINALLY tried salad a couple weeks ago and is on a mission to find her favorite one! As a lover of salad myself, this was an exciting day for me because salad can be such a healthy option for a meal or snack.

One of the biggest things that drives us at Midwest Ultrasonic, is keeping our kids healthy and safe. We clean window treatments to remove dander, soil, bacteria and more. We clean sporting gear to eliminate bacteria and maintain the integrity of the equipment our kids are wearing during contact sports. If we are fueling our kids with healthy foods, we should also be thinking about their environment and keeping it safe and healthy too.
