Him: “Oh my Pikaboo is doing good and right here at home. My little Pikaboo.” 🤣

Me: “Grandpa, it’s Pikachu. Not Pikaboo.”

Him: “Well it’s my little Pikaboo. My favorite Pokemon.”

Happy Tuesday, everyone!

I want to take a moment to give a shout-out to some truly great people in our community who believe in our mission to bring warmth back to our neighbors.

First, a huge thank you to Thurston County Public Health and Social Services for their kindness and their willingness to sit with me as I navigated all the event paperwork. As someone who is neurodivergent, this process is incredibly intimidating and overwhelming. My body will all of a sudden have paralysis and won't let me pass the mark on my own.

Today I walked in with my hands gently shaking and simply said, “I need help.” I wanted to cry because I felt so far out of my comfort zone, but Angie, Sharon, and the team helped me with so much grace. I left with everything done and with more hope and gratitude than a gal could ask for.
