If Gary says snow, it’s coming! ❄️

🎉❄️ Hey Kansas City… have you told the kids yet? There’s a real chance of SNOW on Monday! ❄️🎉
I’ve been diving deep into the latest LRC-driven data and model trends today, and right now the chance of snowfall is around 90% starting sometime Monday closer to noon. Yes — a high chance we’ll be seeing snowflakes flying, and possibly some big snowflakes! As of this evening’s analysis, 2 to 4 inches of accumulation are possible across the KC metro. Now remember… that does not automatically mean 4 inches. Adults and kids tend to lock onto that top number (😄), and remember, forecasting snow in Kansas City is quite difficult and there will likely be a shift north or south which could mean anything from a dusting to around 2 inches for many neighborhoods, if that shift goes the wrong way, or right way, depending on your perspective.
The atmosphere still has two full days to organize this piece of the pattern — and that’s what makes it fun.
We’ll fine-tune the track, timing, and totals together.
I’ll be doing a LIVE Facebook update tomorrow to go over everything: the latest models, how the LRC is shaping this storm, and when the snow is most likely to begin. What time works best for you on Sunday? Enjoy your Saturday night — It snowed 1/2" here, our first snow this morning. For those of you around Denver, this storm starts over the mountains and may produce snow from Golden to Denver Sunday evening.
