๐ง๏ธ โIt rained! Problem solved.โ ... Right?
While we had some storm risks in the metro recently, the high July temps usually mean that natural rain alone wonโt cut it for most OKC lawns. Hereโs the reality check for this week: Itโs not about how much you water, itโs about how you water.
โ ๏ธ Donโt Make This Mistake: Watering every day actually hurts your lawn in 95ยฐF heat. It encourages shallow roots and makes your lawn dependent on constant water.
โ
What To Do Instead:
Water Deeply: Your lawn needs 1 to 1.5 inches of water per week.
Water Early: Before 8 AM is best to minimize evaporation and fungus risk.
Do the Footprint Test: Walk across your lawn in the late afternoon. If your footprints stay visible for more than an hour, your lawn is thirsty at the root level.
Let us take the guesswork out of summer lawn care. We know this heat and your soil conditions.
