🗳️If you aren’t registered to vote, the deadline for polling place ballots is 10/20 (Monday!).

The election is on November 4. If you need help understanding your ballot or choosing your candidates drop a comment 🖤.

Venango County voters will soon decide whether to approve a new tax that would fund local libraries. Supporters say the measure would provide stable funding for library programs and services across the county. Opponents say it adds another financial burden on property owners.

What are your thoughts on the proposed library tax? Do you plan to vote for or against it, and why?

REALLY KARA?!?! You droned on and on about the three men who interviewed…I was there, none of them said anything substantial. Gustafson mentioned his ‘experience’ at least 50 times but not one actual accomplishment from all those years on council. What did he do with the Brody block? It’s gone ffs. Myers sat down in the chair and said he wanted to be on council to prove to himself he’s incapable of working in government (no, for real), and Power is exactly what we’re trying to get away from in oil city government. Hillary’s interview was by far the best- she brought a resume (no one else bothered) outlined her qualifications which include her career as A SOCIAL WORKER, experience in the nonprofit sector, education, leadership roles, and she told city council she wanted to involve the community in local government which I suspect is exactly what half the current councilmen DO NOT want. They can’t be bothered to converse with citizens let alone work with us.
The Derrick is part of what’s wrong in this county. Maybe it’s time for a lil healthy competition in the printed news arena 🤔

Btw- HOW IS A PANEL OF MEN A REPRESENTATION OF MY COMMUNITY 😡

Anyways I’m really proud of you Hillary. I know your motivation is to be a representative for ALL of your community. I’ve done a lil HR in my time and I’d have hired you in a second 👏🖤.

**UPDATE on thermals- we’ve now sent 100+ outfits. We’re officially over the halfway mark 🙌

Thank you all for participating. We are so proud of our community. You’ve shown humanity and kindness to a population that rarely sees any. The inmates and warden Craig are extremely grateful 🖤. We’re still collecting funds for the next order- which I hope is soon because temps are dropping next week 😰.
