If you are looking for a place to get your ego stroked, don't come here. A detail costed $100 over 50 yrs ago so in today's money that should be...? We have leapfrogged the competition through technology. 10 man hrs at our "competition" is often times equal to 1 man hr at our facility. This is because of technology. This is one of the most labor intensive industries in the world, and we have a system, tech, process, efficiency that doesn't exist anywhere else in the world. To do this in Ogden Utah is really something. Our founder is the number one authority in the world in auto detailing and consults detail shops all over the world. He grew up in a custodial/janitorial business in upstate New York and was running large parts of that small empire from the time he was 12 years old. Cleaning principles, and running a crew were old news by the time he had his drivers license. Business 101 is: Do a good job, offer the lowest price possible, and have friendly service. Every kinder gardener knows that. But what we sell is TIME. Most detail shops take days to do what we do in hours. We can do in 20 min what would take you days. Everyone is in the "TIME" business. Our slogan has always been.."Highest quality, lowest price, FASTEST service".

The true labor cost is about $1k for a true recon detail.
We can automate a lot of it and bring it down to $75.
But you as the customer can't point fingers at the windows or stupid s**t you can do yourself.
You couldn't do the big stuff yourself.
Learn to recognize big rocks from small and what your paying for.

Minimum wage should be completely eliminated. A business will pay you as much as it can afford based on your value. Minimum wage is a socialist downward spiral and ultimately eliminates your job. Huge corporations export labor and small companies eliminate labor with technology and systems. Minimum wage discriminates and is prejudice, if I want to work for $2/hr along side a specialist... that's illegal. If a one armed handicapped man wants to sweep your floors and learn your trade for $4/hr while he gathers info... that's illegal.
In 3 years we will be replaced by tesla robotaxis, barista's will be replaced by robots.
If you'd fight to eliminate a minimum wage law and rely on freedom, chaos, and value based performance a gallon of milk would be .50 cents, a house would be $50k. The more you vote to raise minimum wage the more broke and enslaved you become. If you work for me.... I will pay you every single dollar I can possibly afford to pay if you run my business for me. Why would I need a minimum or a maximum. Your so valuable to me I'll never wanna let you go. A value based system is all you need. I will pay you more than I pay myself because I/we value freedom.
Keep raising minimum wage and you'll be eliminated. Feed the goose that lays the golden egg.
In 3 years tesla will eliminate uber/lyft. There will be some rich old folks that order the "human driver" ride but the majority will choose the cheap robotaxi.
