Rex Vault Service of Odon Rex Vault Service of Newton, IL has purchased Odon Vault Company in Odon, IN. A new building was built on Hwy. 58 in 1952.

Odon Vault Company was a burial vault and septic tank company that was founded on Race Street in Odon in 1922 by Jim and Cecil Aishe. Sherman and Evelyn McClellan bought the half interest of Jim Aishe and became sole owners when they purchased Cecil Aishe's half interest in 1962. The company expanded to larger quarters when a new manufacturing plant (the current site) was built in 1966. In 1977, K

ent McClellan, Sherman's son, and Rex Bechtel bought into the business. In July of 1988, the McClellans' sold their shares and new owners were Rex Bechtel, John Sibray and Porter Ainscough. In 1994 John and Susan Sibray bought out John's uncle Porter, and in 1999 bought out his partner, Rex Bechtel. The Assets of Odon Vault Company were then sold to Mark and Lucas Bolander, a family that has owned and operated Rex Vault Service of Newton, Illinois for 60 years. Father and son have long-term plans to expand the business by adding products and services. A majority of the company's staff was retained and Lucas Bolander lived there for about a year to help with the transition. Our customer base has been and always will be a top priority.
