🚨 What’s Hiding in the Back of Your Pool Pump? 🚨
You might be surprised!
These two pumps came into our shop today for seal replacements, and just look at the amount of dirt, debris, insect nesting material, and buildup packed inside the back of the motor. 😳
The rear of your pump motor contains a cooling fan that pulls air through the motor to keep it running at a safe temperature. When those vents become clogged with dirt, cottonwood, spider webs, mud dauber nests, and other debris, the motor can’t cool itself properly.
⚠️ This can lead to:
• Overheating
• Premature bearing failure
• Reduced efficiency
• Tripped breakers
• Expensive motor replacement
A quick inspection and cleaning can add years to the life of your pump motor and potentially save you hundreds of dollars in repairs.
💡 Just because your pump is running doesn’t mean it’s running properly!
Take a few minutes to check the back of your motor, especially if you live in a dusty area or have lots of cottonwood, insects, or landscaping around your equipment pad.
As always, if you’re unsure what you’re looking at, stop by and let the Pool Doctors at Pisces Pools & Spas take a look.
