Pool and Deck Coating Application

Tile Experience a plus

Preparing surfaces to be painted by washing them, filling holes and cracks with putty and sanding them until they’re smooth

Covering trim, floors, furniture and other surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths and other protective coverings to keep them free of paint

Setting up ventilators and other safety equipment to protect Painters from unhealthy fumes

Applying primer and other sealers to paint surfaces to ensure that paint sticks to them

Mixing and matching paint, stain and other finishes to job specifications

Applying paint, stain and other finishes to paint surfaces using paintbrushes, rollers or sprayers

Maintaining an inventory of supplies like paint brushes, rollers and tarps

Removing old finish using scrapers, chemical compounds or pressure washing

Estimating time and material costs on painting projects

Cleaning machines, equipment and work areas using water, solvents and other cleaning aids

Reviewing and implementing work orders and assignments

Removing and reinstalling fixtures as necessary

Following safeguards, rules and regulations

Pool company looking for Fiberglass/Gelcoat Technicians and Managers to join a family owned business that is growing exponentially. Must have reliable transportation, and good driving record. Will train if already experienced with Auto Body repair as process similar (Spray, Grinding & Buffing)

Duties include:

Spray Gel coat, check for proper millage, read orders and apply final Epoxy coating. Must be able to laminate with resin and fiberglass. Perform assembly related functions, using hand or power tools and electric equipment. Installing fiberglass reinforcements. Ability to clean and maintain Resin pumps and filters.
You will be caring for molds, demolding board, cleaning and waxing, gel coating and laminating on a daily cycle. Housekeeping-Keep work area clean and orderly. Follow instruction of Supervisor/foreman/lead. Work with a team to complete daily tasks.
Must be able to wear full mask respirator.
Inspects all parts so that they are complete and up to quality standards.
Perform other duties, assignments and responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications

Can work in a team environment under time constraints with a positive attitude
Must demonstrate excellent attendance
Knowledge and experience of working with Gel Coat and resin systems
Must be able to bend at waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time.
Must be able to wear proper safety equipment to include respirator when necessary.
Must be able to understand and perform above listed Factory boat or pool production experience helpful
Must be able to lift 30lbs over your head
Must have reliable transportation and clean driving history
This is a safety sensitive position.
Personal Protective Equipment- Safety Glasses, full- mask respirator, Tyvek protection suit.
Keep work area clean and orderly.
Cooperation- Job requires being pleasant with others on the job and displaying a good-natured, cooperative attitude.
