Hey everyone, I wanted to share a scary experience I recently had to remind you all to stay vigilant against scams. I was almost the victim of a fake check scam, and it's a sobering reminder of how crafty scammers can be.

A gentleman reached out to me via Messenger offering a seemingly legitimate job opportunity - $1200 every two weeks for cleaning his home. It sounded like a great deal, but it quickly turned sour when he said he would send me a check for $4700 and asked me to keep $1000 for myself, then send the rest to someone supposedly doing painting for his house.

In my eagerness to make some extra money for my family, I almost fell for it hook, line, and sinker. Thankfully, my husband stepped in and investigated further. It turned out to be a classic fake check scam where the scammer sends you a large check, asks you to take out a portion, and send the rest back or to another party.

We narrowly dodged that bullet, and I'm grateful my husband caught it in time. The lesson here is clear: always be cautious, always double-check, and never let desperation blind you to the warning signs. Scammers are out there, preying on good people every day. Stay safe, stay informed, and watch out for scams! Thanks, babe, for having my back. 💪 "
