🔥🔥 WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A HEAT PUMP AND AC? 🔥🔥

In a nutshell, your heat pump and an air conditioner cool your home the exact same way. However, a heat pump includes a reversing valve that lets it run in reverse to also provide heating. An air conditioner only cools and must be paired with a separate furnace for heat.

Ahhh.... you thought we had forgotten to make a super embarrassing post for you like we do the rest of our team, but we decided to wait until everyone was home from work, had taken care of dinner and was sitting around scrolling so they didn't miss it – and here it is!

We've all heard our dad say it, but does leaving the door open (even for a moment) really affect the AC in our home?

Here's what happens:
• Leaving a door open ruins indoor climate control, spiking your power bill as the AC runs non-stop to fight the heat gain. (Dad doesn't like higher electric bills.)
• Your house will begin to feels sticky and moist because the AC stops removing moisture effectively.
• The compressor and fan motor stay on too long, increasing the risk of mechanical failure.
• In some cases, heavy airflow changes and overworking can cause the indoor evaporator coils to freeze up.

Dad isn't wrong. It's important to keep doors and windows closed tight when our AC is running. Likewise, it's important to make sure all seals around doors and windows are in place and working to help keep cold air in and warm air out to keep humidity low and temps stable.
