This is our personal pool and the pool was completely green when we moved in. We had to replace the equipment and the old plumbing valves. This pool sat for over 10 years so we did a partial drain and refill. Total process was about 5 days until we could begin to refill. We also used ascorbic acid to remove the organic staining that plagued the fiberglass.

This process was 3 days total. We started by plumbing in a waste valve and removing the pool filter. We then added 8 lbs of alum, returned after 48 hours and vaccumed the pool to waste. On day three we brushed and skimmed and balanced the chemical levels in the pool.

This process was 4-5 days. We replaced the existing pool pump and did a change of the sand. We added 12 lbs of alum and circulated the pool for 2 hours. Returned after 48 hours and vacummed to waste, then we brushed and balanced the water.

This pool took about a week, it had been sitting green for roughly 12 years and the homeowner wanted to acid wash so we drained the pool completely and refilled it.
