Owning a cleaning business is more than just cleaning, it’s a dedication. It takes time to learn the skills needed to transform spaces for people. It takes a caring, nonjudgmental person to provide consistent, high quality work for each client. It takes research to learn the different surfaces within a home or business and how to maintain them. It takes building lasting relationships with people because you truly just want to make their lives easier. It’s not just wiping surfaces and vacuuming floors. It’s taking your time, and truly caring about the before and after of that job. It’s going the extra mile for your client when you can because you can. Taking the time to learn about your client and what they like so you can do that much better for them. Nowadays I’m hearing a lot of stories of people offering cleaning services or trying to clean as a side hustle which is nice but you’ll find that most of these people will cut corners and will just be there for the money that one time and not actually care to give you the quality of work you seek. I hear too many times at house quotes how the client hired someone and that person or “company “ showed up, spent hours there but nothing felt clean when they left.
