Full job description
Western MD Septic is looking for a Portable Restroom Route Service Driver to be part of a team of people who are committed to providing quality service to our customers in the extended Western Maryland area. This is an appreciated and essential position. The job includes servicing portable restrooms and sink units within our service area, by cleaning, pumping, and restocking supplies. This may include (but not limited to) individual homes, construction sites, schools, and community events and festivals. At times it will be necessary to pump out RV holding tanks and external tanks used on trailers and other temporary sites.
Minimum Requirements
• Valid Driver's License
• Good Driving Record: No moving violations within the past 12 months; and no more than three in the past three years.
• Ability to read and comprehend maps and use Google Maps or similar programs
• Required to use company tablet for work daily
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be able to pass a D.O.T. physical
Job Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Portable Restroom Service Route Driver include, but are not limited to:
• Service portable toilets on assigned routes, i.e. cleaning, pumping, restocking supplies
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Inspect trucks before beginning routes to ensure safe operating conditions.
• Complete a daily DVIR, using an app on the smartphone, also notating if there is defective equipment.
• Clean trucks or compactor bodies after routes have been completed.
• Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.
• Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
• Perform emergency repairs, such as changing tires or installing light bulbs, fuses, tire chains, or spark plugs.
• Communicate with dispatchers concerning delays, unsafe sites, accidents, equipment breakdowns, or other maintenance problems, or other traffic problems.
• Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
• Drivers are responsible to maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times.
• Drivers represent Western Md Septic and are expected to be friendly, professional and provide excellent customer service.
• As part of being a Team Player, be responsible for any additional duties as assigned by management. This includes driving other vehicles within our truck fleet or performing additional services to assist the company in
