Be prepared for the cold tonight! Most pool automation systems & fully programmable variable speed pumps are programmed to turn on when the temperature drops to near freezing.
If you have a standalone pump run from a mechanical timer, it is highly recommended that you let the pump run over night to prevent possible costly freeze damage.
If in doubt, let in run!
