I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

I come to you today with an update. Effective Friday, March 3 I will be closing my business due to economic constraints. It was an incredibly hard decision to make after 3 years because I loved cleaning for others so much.

My clients have become like an extension of my family and it will be so hard not to see them regularly and catch up. It meant so much that people were trusting me to be in there home and to go beyond that and let me share in the changes in their lives.

I started my business January of 2020, we went through a pandemic together and all of life’s ups and downs. 😃

Letters have been sent to all of my current clients. If you’re seeing this before you see the letter don’t worry.

I have taken a full time job with a local landscaping company working in their office. It’s an exciting opportunity and they seem like great people. I have spent several hours there learning about their company and trying to ensure a good personality fit for them and me.

Thank you for your support over the past three years it has meant the world to me. A special shout out to my friends, my mentor and my fellow business owners who were there to keep pushing me forward when things got hard and were even more supportive when I had to make this decision too.

Best wishes!
Dawn

Spent 5 hours in this house today. Physically drained but it was so worth it when the homeowners came home and checked out the place. Note: those are iron or rust deposits in the toilet. Were it poo, I would be like nope, nope, nope!

Spent the day packing for a big move for some long time clients. The movers will be here in a week to do the hard work, then I’ll be back to help with the unpacking. It was fun to do something different. (Stock photo)

Sometimes clutter is depression or anxiety that’s being expressed externally. I find during a particularly hard week (physically or mentally) I see lots of clutter piling up in my own house. I’m exhausted and don’t want to make any more decisions for a few days. Be kind to yourself friends. I encourage you to not put off decisions about your stuff.

Although this is a stock photo I have walked into many a house facing a kitchen similar to this. Many are quick to call it laziness. Some will ask how someone could live in filth. Few, very few would ask if or how they could help.

I'm so fortunate that I get to help people that are in situations similar to this. I don't see a kitchen overflowing with dirty dishes. I see a family that is extremely busy and this is the least priority. I see a single person who's working from sun up to sun down to support their family. I see a person going through chemo and has nothing left at the end of the day. I see a disabled person who is struggling to get around and I may be the only thing stopping them from going into assisted living. I see someone with mental health issues who's just trying to make it to work each day. I see someone who is taking care of their elderly parents. I see beyond the pile and see the real person.

I've had many a client cry because they were so embarrassed that I saw their house with the piles of trash, dishes, clothes or the built up dust. They are over joyed to see it clean and tidy. I've sat and listened in silence to many of them. I know their joys, dreams and their pain. I've laughed, cried and celebrated right along with them. I offer no judgements, just a reminder that we are all going through something no one else knows about. For many, I'm the only one they've let in their house because they were embarrassed or because of the pandemic. I'm always honored when someone trusts me enough to let me in their house to help. I believe everyone deserves a clean and safe house to live in.

You are not your mess. You are deserving. You are supported. You are loved. You are enough.
