Everyday at the Washboard!

If you remember a washboard or hanging laundry outside, you remember hard work done with love. The sun-warmed scent of clean clothes on the line, the splash of soapy water, and the ache in tired arms were all part of caring for the family. Every shirt, sheet, and towel was scrubbed, rinsed, and pinned with patience, turning an ordinary yard into a sea of white flags fluttering in the breeze. Neighbors chatted over fences, children ran between the lines, and time seemed to move a little slower. It was more than laundry day; it was a quiet act of devotion that wrapped loved ones in freshness and comfort.
