Heads up to anyone with boxwoods in their yard — the Boxtree Moth is here and it is no joke.

These caterpillars can strip a boxwood completely bare in as little as two weeks. And if your shrubs aren't being treated, they will die. It's that simple.

We've been seeing it firsthand this season and it's not pretty.

We put together a Boxwood Survival Program specifically for this — a custom spray treatment timed to the moth's cycle to protect your shrubs before the damage starts.

If you've got boxwoods and want to keep them, give us a call.

MOW WEEKLY. MOW AT 3.5”.

Not biweekly. Not 2.5”. Not “when it looks like it.”
Weekly mowing at 3.5” maximizes turf health, color, and resilience. Taller grass grows deeper roots — and deeper roots mean better drought resistance all summer long.

Simple change. Big difference.

KEEP WATERING! Daylight hours only.
Low temperatures do not add water to the rootzone.

🚨 Watering Reminder 🚨

It may feel like fall, but it is not the time to stop watering. We’re still in a drought—it has only rained once in the last three weeks.

👉 Remember: one rain day only helps for about two days. Don’t get overly excited when it rains—your lawn still needs steady moisture to stay healthy and protect your investment in treatments.

💧 Water during daylight hours, at least 3 times per week.
💧 Every other day is even better.

Your lawn will thank you now—and look much better come spring. 🌱

🚨 Lawn Update 🚨

We’ve just come through a stretch of very dry weather without much rain. If you haven’t been watering, your lawn may look brown and dormant — don’t worry, that’s normal!

🌧️ With cooler temps and a little rain in the forecast this week, many lawns should start to green back up.

💧 Remember: one rain shower does not mean your lawn is set for the week. Grass roots only reach a few inches into the soil, so they dry out fast. To stay green and healthy, your lawn needs water at least 2–3 times per week during daylight hours.

👉 Consistent watering is the key to recovery. Keep at it, and your lawn will bounce back strong!

🚨 Lawn Care Reminder 🚨

It’s been extremely dry lately, and your lawn still needs consistent watering. 🌱 Without it, the grass will quickly dry out and suffer—even with our treatments in place.

👉 Please make sure you’re watering during the daytime hours (so the lawn dries before dark) and giving it the soak it needs to stay healthy.

Don’t stop now—the effort you put in today will keep your lawn looking great for the rest of the season! 💧✨

🚿💧 Don’t stop watering yet! 💧🚿

Even though the calendar says late summer, the weather says otherwise. 🌞 It’s been dry, and the dry spell is expected to continue.

👉 Keep watering your lawn during the day to help it stay healthy and green. Consistent watering is the key to protecting your investment and preventing stress on the grass.

We’ll let you know when it’s safe to scale back, but for now: keep those sprinklers running! 🌱💦

🔥 It’s HOT, DRY, and FUNGUS is THRIVING 🔥

We’re stuck in the 90s with no rain—your lawn needs water every single day right now to stay healthy.

But timing is everything.

🌙 Do NOT water at night
🌅 Do NOT water before sunrise

That evening humidity is fueling fungus outbreaks, especially Dollar Spot, which is everywhere right now.

✅ Water during daylight hours—any time after 7 AM and before 6 PM.
That gives your lawn time to dry and helps stop fungus in its tracks.

Water smart, stay ahead of the heat, and we’ll get through this stretch strong 💪

🔥 Heat Wave Alert — Water, Water, Water! 🌱

Metro Detroit friends — we're heading into a serious heat wave. Here's the forecast:

Friday: 83°F, scattered storms

Saturday: 92°F and rising

Sunday–Tuesday: Mid to upper 90s, peaking near 99°F on Monday

Rest of next week: Hot, humid, with scattered storms

Your lawn is going to feel it — and fast. Here's what to do:

💧 Water deeply and early — morning is best to beat evaporation and help roots soak it in.

✂️ Don’t mow when temps are over 85°F — too much stress on the grass.

📏 Mow at 3" minimum — no exceptions! Taller grass holds moisture and protects the soil.

🧢 Be smart outside — hydrate, wear light clothes, and avoid the midday heat.

This kind of stretch can make or break your lawn. Let’s keep it green, not crispy. 🌿
