Job Summary
· Operates or tends washing machines to wash household articles. Takes in dry-cleaning and cash out customers when they pick up.
General Accountabilities
· Loads articles into washer and dryer machines.
· Starts washers, driers, or extractors, and turns valves or levers to regulate machine processes and the volume of soap, detergent, water, bleach, and other additives.
· Operates extractors and driers.
· Removes items from washer machines.
· Sorts and counts articles removed from dryers, and folds, wraps, or hang them.
· Cleans machine filters.
· Determines and applies spotting procedures and proper solvents to remove stains.

Job Qualifications
· Education: High school diploma or equivalent
· Experience: On-the-job training
